Floyd Running is presently the Executive VP of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. Pioneering in auto propane conversions back in 1983, Floyd has more than 40 years invested as a stakeholder in Canada’s propane industry – and still going strong. Much of his career has been in management with a Canadian equipment supplier where he has been a vocal advocate for propane from coast to coast. Floyd is well known as a technical resource for residential, commercial, and industrial propane equipment and an established trainer in the propane industry. His extensive technical expertise has been put to good use while actively participating on numerous advisory committees both at the federal and provincial levels working with organizations such as Environment Canada, Transport Canada, Measurement Canada, Canadian Standards Association, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, and the Ontario Technical Safety and Standards Authority. Floyd’s career has included the position of President of the Ontario Propane Association where he worked diligently to represent the interests of propane retailers, transporters, producers, wholesalers, and suppliers to the industry of Ontario. He was instrumental in the drafting of the first guidelines for the installation of underground propane tanks and the introduction of RTG Relief valve assemblies that permit the exchange of the relief valve without the necessity of evacuating the container.

He gained knowledge and experience with a large propane marketer beginning with cylinder applications and bulk delivery across Alberta and BC. Steve joined the “team in black” (Diversco) in 2002 and has become an industry recognised source of valuable information and insight for propane equipment and applications, understanding the perspective of his clients.
